As a family-owned and operated retailer, McCoy’s Building Supply understands the importance of home on many levels and is proud to support Habitat for Humanity and its affiliates.

Building Local Connections

While Habitat for Humanity operates on a global level, McCoy’s appreciates how Habitat’s affiliates are afforded the ability to focus on the needs of their specific communities. This aligns with McCoy’s community-centered focus on giving. As part of this local giving, McCoy’s has donated over $75,000 worth of in-kind materials to Habitat affiliates in their communities over the past three years.

We have a passion for people becoming homeowners,” said Jessica Walshak, McCoy’s Director of Marketing. “Our relationship with Habitat for Humanity has long been ingrained in our company at very local and personal levels with affiliates.”

Giving When It's Needed Most

Along with local donations, McCoy’s Building Supply has often connected with Habitat for Humanity in special circumstances when additional giving has been needed the most. For example, after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey affected so many in the company’s area of business, McCoy’s came together with vendor partner Atrium to donate a portion of window sales to long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts happening through Habitat.

McCoy’s, headquartered in San Marcos, Texas since 1972, has witnessed the area's growth, as well as the rising cost of housing. In response, in 2022, McCoy's Building Supply donated one million dollars to Austin Habitat for Humanity, earmarked to purchase land in Hays and Caldwell counties.
