Bane Phillippi Named General Counsel of McCoy Corporation
McCoy’s Building Supply is pleased to announce the appointment of Bane Phillippi as General Counsel.
Phillippi, a graduate of Texas A&M University and Baylor University School of Law, will be responsible for all legal matters for McCoy Corporation and its related entities. He will oversee McCoy’s transactional and litigation needs and allow it to continue to grow its already robust regulatory compliance capabilities. McCoy’s prides itself on extensive training, safety and risk management programs, and the addition of a General Counsel further enhances its capabilities in these areas.
Phillippi has over 17 years of experience in transactional, regulatory compliance and litigation matters. He began his career with Haynes and Boone, LLP, where he primarily served business clients in regulatory compliance and transactional matters. In 2012, he joined Weisbart Springer Hayes, LLP as a litigation attorney advising a broad range of clients with a particular focus on litigating business matters in state and federal court.
“We are thrilled to bring Bane on board as General Counsel. He has worked with McCoy’s in the past as outside counsel and understands our industry so well,” said Meagan McCoy Jones, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to utilizing Bane’s legal and regulatory expertise to increase McCoy’s industry impact as we grow as a company.”
