Brown Appointed Regional Support Manager at McCoy’s Building Supply

McCoy’s Building Supply is pleased to announce the promotion of John Brown to Regional Support Manager. 

Brown, a native of Lufkin, TX, is a thirty-year veteran of the company who began his career working part-time in the lumberyard of his hometown McCoy’s. His dedication to serving McCoy’s Born to Build customers propelled him to quickly move into the management ranks and for the past 17 years, he was the Store Manager in Lufkin. As a manager, Brown developed key mentorship and guidance qualities that prepared him for this new role.
 
In this role, Brown will provide direct support to McCoy’s Store Managers as they mentor Assistant Managers and others in the company. “Mentorship, versus education alone, is a hallmark of a McCoy’s leader,” said Meagan McCoy Jones, Executive Vice President and COO. “For us to ensure all our leaders are growing as mentors, we’ll need some additional support, and John is particularly gifted in this way.”

McCoy’s Building Supply celebrated its 90th anniversary last year and this new position highlights the company’s commitment to growth in the 21st century. “John thoroughly knows our company culture and has always demonstrated such high integrity and concern for others,” says Brian McCoy, CEO. “He is a time-tested and dynamic leader at McCoy’s and was the ideal choice for this new position.”
